How Do I Use My Library Account?

Find the Renew Books link on the library homepage.

1. Log in with your Last Name and your La Verne ID.

2.  In your account you can view your fines, renew your items, and see the items you have checked out.


Courtesy reminders, overdue notices and fine notices are emailed to your La Verne email.

  • Courtesy notices: 3 days before your library books or videos/DVDs are due
  • Second notice: 10 days after the item was due
  • Bill for the item(s): 20 days after the item was due. (For more information on billed items, see the Fines Policy).

How Long Can I Check Out a Book?

The loan period of a book depends on your rank at the University of La Verne.  Some of the standard loan periods are:

Undergraduates  

35 days

Honors

60 days

Masters

90 days

Doctoral

90 days

Faculty

180 days

Getting Started with Interlibrary Loan

If you find a book using our Library Catalog, you can request to have it placed on hold for pick up at the Wilson Library or have books mailed to your home address. More information on the Requesting Books from the Wilson Library Guide.
