What is Google Scholar?

"Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites." - from Google Scholar website.

Similar to the Wilson Library's licensed databases, this is a good research resource. However to access the full-text of articles you will need to connect Google Scholar to the University of La Verne Wilson Library. How-to instructions are below:

How Do I Access Full-Text of an Article?

Access the full-text of an article you find in Google Scholar by setting your Scholar Library Settings to the University of La Verne. To do this:

1. At Google Scholar, click on the three lines on the left hand side and then click on Settings.

2. Select Library Links on the left hand side.

3. Search for University of La Verne, then select the option "University of La Verne - view it @ La  Verne" shown below from the results list. Click Save.

4. Now when you use Google Scholar the link "view it @ La Verne" will appear automatically in the results.
