Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

GENERAL INFORMATION

As a ULV student, you have access to books and articles from other libraries. Here are a few facts:

  • Requests are FREE! Never pay for an article or book request.
  • You can request both books and articles. NOTE: We cannot request e-books, only print books. Articles can be electronic as well as print.
  • You can request one of 2 ways:
    • Create a new request.
    • Use the "Check for Full-text" option in databases and select "Request" when prompted.
  • How long do requests take?
    • Books: Up to 2 weeks. Delivery time will depend on the location of the library that accepts our request.
    • Articles: Usually within 24 hours. Keep in mind articles may be delayed if it is a holiday week or weekend. If you do not receive your article within 3 days, please contact us a interlib@laverne.edu
    • NOTE: Keep in mind that not all books and articles are available through interlibrary loan. Please contact us if you have any questions.
