Commonly known as the Beige Book, this report is published eight times per year. Each Federal Reserve Bank gathers anecdotal information on current economic conditions in its District through reports from Bank and Branch directors and interviews with key business contacts, economists, market experts, and other sources. The Beige Book summarizes this information by District and sector. An overall summary of the twelve district reports is prepared by a designated Federal Reserve Bank on a rotating basis.

The Business Outlook Survey is a monthly survey of manufacturers in the Third Federal Reserve District. Participants indicate the direction of change in overall business activity and in the various measures of activity at their plants: employment, working hours, new and unfilled orders, shipments, inventories, delivery times, prices paid, and prices received. The survey has been conducted each month since May 1968.

Available from April 1995 forward, this monthly publication is prepared by the Council of Economic Advisers for the Joint Economic Committee. It provides economic information on gross domestic product, income, employment, production, business activity, prices, money, credit, security markets, Federal finance, and international statistics.

Economic Indicators back to 1948 are made available through FRASER, the Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research. FRASER is provided through a partnership between GPO and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. FRASER is not an official version of Economic Indicators and GPO can not guarantee the authenticity or completeness of the data.

Four times a year, the Office of Industries publishes the Industry Trade and Technology Review ( ITTR ), analyzing factors currently affecting U.S. manufacturing and services industries and providing deeper analysis and insight into their competitiveness. ITTR articles also provide readers with an understanding of the implications of trade policy developments.

Industry Trade and Technology Review contains articles originating from research and analysis conducted by U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) staff as part of its responsibilities to provide advice and technical information on industry and trade issues. The ITTR provides analysis of important issues and insights into the global position of U.S. industries, the technological competitiveness of the United States , and implications of trade and policy developments. The ITTR is a publication of the Office of Industries.

The FDIC Outlook features the results of analyses of national and regional economic and banking trends that may affect the risk exposure of FDIC-insured institutions. Beginning in 2007, these articles appear in the FDIC Quarterly.

The Survey of Real Estate Trends summarized observations of senior examiners and asset managers at the FDIC, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Office of Thrift Supervision, and the Federal Reserve System about developments in real estate markets in their local metropolitan areas. Participants were queried about changes during the preceding six months in the local single-family, multifamily, office, retail and industrial real estate markets. The observations were collected twice a year, in January and in July, and the Survey was published the following month.
