Open Educational Resources

How Can We Help You?

Librarians can help you with the following:

  • FIND: Help find OER resources for your classes
  • EDUCATE: Presentations about OER
  • ADVISE: Inform faculty about digital formats and copyright issues
  • COLLECT: Add OER information to the library catalog and/or to a library guide

Additional Resources

In addition to helping you find OER, librarians can help you select and utilize library resources for teaching:

  • E-Books
    • The library subscribes to various e-book platforms. Access to these is free to students and they can be integrated into Blackboard and/or a specialized library guide.
  • Databases
    • Articles from our databases can be assigned as reading for courses. Shareable links can be posted for students to access individually.
  • Reserve Items
    • Place a textbook or other item on reserve at the library. Set the check out time (2 hours, 4 hours, 1 day, etc.) and students can check out items with the student ID card.
