Open data is public data collected by the state through its routine business activities and published in a format that is easy to search, easy to download and easy to combine with other data sets from other sources.

The State Census Data Center (SCDC) was established to serve as the central point for the dissemination of census data in California. The SCDC program was instituted by the U.S. Census Bureau to increase and improve public access to census data products.

ARB compiles the state's emissions inventory and performs air quality and emissions inventory special studies.
