Tutoring
The University of La Verne’s Academic Success Center (ASC) is dedicated to providing all students with the tools and resources they need to be successful during their educational journey. Using a model of peer to peer support, the ASC prioritizes students’ long-term development and trains our staff to connect students with their learning process and course content.
A peer academic coach will work with students in recurring weekly or biweekly meetings to help them improve their time management, study strategies, reading and note-taking skills, and other skills that lead directly to academic success and deeper learning.
A variety of workshops and webinars are offered each semester by the Academic Success Center. Students can find our webinars on our ASC Portal. Workshops will be listed on the Libraries and Learning Commons Workshop Calendar.
Academic Resources
Students can access academic resources, at any time of the day, covering a wide variety of topics and subjects. These resources are built specifically for courses at ULV and common challenging concepts, topics, and assignments we see come into the ASC. Test prep resources as well as writing and research materials are also available. All academic resources are found on the ASC Portal.
